We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19

April 2nd, 2020

Dear Perk-N-Pooch community,

Our employees, customers, and your pups that we see daily are our top priority as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation daily if not hourly. We continue to take the necessary steps to ensure a safe workplace and minimize disruptions to the service we so proudly provide.

While we continue to evaluate the ever-changing situation, Perk-N-Pooch (PNP) will continue to operate. While we do not take this decision lightly we came to this decision based on a number of factors:

  1. Governor Kemps Executive Order dated April 3, 2020 which does not list pet services as operations that must cease.

  2. Businesses providing essential services must enforce CDC social distancing requirements among all patrons and staff within their facilities and frequently sanitize counters, credit/debit machines, carts and other items used by the public.

  3. The facility is disinfected nightly which has been a practice that we have employed since we opened over 8 years ago.

Beginning Friday April 3, 2020 the following changes will be implemented to ensure the continued safety for you, our employees and your pups:

  1. Appointments are required. Perk-N-Pooch will no longer accept walk-in customers.

  2. A credit card will be required for all appointments.

  3. Any appointment cancelled less than 12 hours prior to the scheduled appointment will be charged a cancellation fee.

  4. While this may seem extreme, we do use appointments to schedule appropriate staffing for the day.

  5. DIY services have been discontinued till further notice.

  6. Customer check-in and check-out will take place curbside.

  7. No customers will be allowed in the facility at any time.

  8. Customers must remove dog collars, leads and any clothing your pups may have during the check-in process.

  9. Credit cards are the preferred method of payment. We will ask for payment when we notify you that your pup is ready for pick-up as this will expedite the check out process. As an alternative method of payment we do accept Google and Apple Pay.

  10. Coffee shop will remain open for curbside service only, just let us know if you would like a cup of joe at check-in or check-out.

  11. Screening and evaluating workers prior to each shift upto and including temperature check.

  12. All employees are equipped with masks and gloves.

  13. Frequent communications with employees to provide situational updates and best practices.

PNP will continue to monitor this situation closely. Know that we will continue to take any and all measures necessary to ensure the well-being of our employees, customers, and pups. Lastly, we ask for your patience and understanding during this time as we are taking extreme measures with limited staff.

A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support.
